I live in a area where satellite is the only service available but I can get about a 2 bar LTE connection on this hotspot which usually runs at about 26 meg download and 6-8 meg upload speeds. It works great and I got rid of the satellite internet. If you can get the unlimited plan do it, it says they can throttle your internet speed if you go over 22 gigs of data usage but only at times of high traffic on the cell tower. I used over 110 gigs on mine last month and it was never throttled. It also has the option for a antenna to boost the cell signal which I'm going to try soon. I wired mine into my Google on hub router because it has a better WiFi range and it works great, best hot spot I've ever bought.
