• If your old device takes the same size sim as the new, I don't see why it would not work. If its different size sims I am sure AT&T can transfer your current device to the new. (you might even be able to transfer it yourself online)

• No, you would have to take it to an AT&T store with the receipt. They will swap it over in less than 10 minutes. It was easy to do.
