It's a portable cellular router I have up to 20 devices connected at the same time just insert your sim card just like in a phone and you're ready to go it even has its own app to configure the router same as you would your router at home so think of it as the same as your router at home except you can take it with you and this data plan is your choice just inserted the SIM card when you're done
