Sir, this is just like your cell phone, if it doesn't work in the mountainous regions that you travel, neither will this Modem / Router because just like your cell phone, it too is just a digital two way radio... pure and simple.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I will only add that this device like some of the earlier models has two ports on the bottom edge that are for the purpose of installing an external antenna. The adapters to fit those ports are referred to as TS-9 ADAPTERS and are needed when outfitting for the appropriate antenna of Your choosing. Include considerations for things like distance and obstructions from Your carriers towers (AT&T tower maps online) as mountains and forest can block cellular signals. You may even need to look into a cellular signal booster + antennas and a really good setup at that (this will help all of Your cellular devices) but it can be a drive back closer to a tower or at least a good hill top to holler from even then. The external antenna have helped a lot for Me at 4 miles from AT&T tower through flat but forested rural area after 10+ years and $$ spent trying to get it going and only the past year or so not needing the cellular signal booster and am very thankful for those TS-9 ports!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. This works like your cell phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, If you were to attach an EXTERNAL, high gain, directional antenna to it. Depending on the antenna system used of course.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This device doesn’t magically make data connections. AT&T cellular signal needs to reach the hotspot so that it can provide service to your devices.
