Yes all you have to do is insert your sim card into the new phone and then it will be active

I bought this phone unactivated and I just put my current nano sim in the new phone and it set itself all up with my same number and account info. However if you purchase it and select to have it already activated it will come with a sim with a new number. So you would need to contact customer service and see if they can help you transfer your number to the new phone but sometimes you may end up having to have a new sim mailed to you. So to keep your current number without the hassle of customer service, make sure to select the unactivated phone!
