- Answer You can use international pay min but location must have a cell tower that use att network the oods are no but again you can buy international time or min.

- Answer Hi I normally buy these and just insert my own sim card and they work good. These seems to be the ones known as Go Phones or "pay as you go." The two options would be to buy a phone card and load it up or use your own.

- Answer Yes this phone can be used on any AT&T plan, just install sim card from your phone that's currently using that plan into this phone and voila! Although I should warn you to get a better phone if you plan on keeping for awhile. This phone slow response time is seriously a problem.

- Answer Mini SIM cards will not work in phones that require nano SIM cards.

- Answer I hope I'm not too late--DO NOT give this phone as a gift! Your friend will think you hate them! But to answer the more technical question, I believe you have to request for the carrier to unlock it, and most of them require six months to a year of service before they will. You're better off paying a little more for an unlocked phone. Best Buy has several around $50.
