Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The shelves would be perfect for CDs, as you can adjust to your needs. I have never personally, but the amount of space it will hold plenty for you, and you can stack two shelves as needed (i do wall mount mine to ensure stability)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say its great for cd's. mine came with 4 shelfs that can be moved, in the pic i seen was for holding dvd's but with the extra shelfs it can hold 6 rows of cd's

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a very good midsized storage cabinet. Its too large to put on top of your stereo but will sit on the floor nicely next to it. I have a large cd collection & have this cabinet sitting on the floor next to a larger one .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.While the cabinet is excellent for storing your CDs, it will be too tall to place ON TOP of your stereo system. Also, I would suggest attaching a 'L'-shaped mounting bracket between the bottom of the uppermost shelf and the wall, to eliminate any possibility of the unit being wobbly on a carpeted floor.
