• You either need a receiver (which just means a radio combined with an amplifier) or speakers that have built in amplifiers, like most studio monitors.

• It can be connected directly to POWERED (aka ACTIVE) type speakers. Make certain that you set the preamp selector switch on the back of the turntable to the LINE position.
