- Answer The ATH-M30x Headphones are easy for a non-battery powered device to drive. The impedance may be moderate, but the sensitivity is relatively high. An external DAC or headphone amplifier should not be required, but a high quality one may provide higher resolution audio when compared to the one provided with a computer.
