“How large are the digitized files that are ripped from the turntable? Are they transferred as MP3? or another format? I am interested in ripping the music from my LP's and transferring them to a flash drive to preserve the vinyl. Thanks!”

It depends on the software you plan to use to create the mp3 files for the transfer and the size of your flash drive. You should get hundreds of songs onto a good sized, as in 4GB, drive.
