No, this stylus will NOT fit. Have you removed the mounting screw that passes through the side of the the tonearm and the cartridge. Have you moved the tonearm to the center of the turntable for easier access to the cartridge per the instructions in the SL-5 instructions manual? Your turntable takes a Plug-in (aka T4P or P-mount) type phono cartridge. We have P-mount cartridges (complete with the stylus assembly) which can be used in place of the existing cartridge/stylus. Assuming that your turntable has the original EPC-P24S Technics Cartridge (with the EPS-24CS Stylus) on it, our AT85EP Cartridge is a comparable model cartridge.
