“Why does the volume have to be turned up so much it hums on the turntable , my CDs & TV & radio all have great Volume , I have tried everything I know !!!! The surround sound system is new !!”

Make sure the preamp is turned on. It's a switch in the back. If you are still having problems, make sure you calibrated the stylus correctly. There is an instructional video on the Audio Technical website if you need help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm guessing because you have a surround sound system. Turntables always sound better with old receivers I think... Something where you have to spin the dial to change the station.
