• A:Answer They are both 48gps speed, but the Carbon has a higher percentage of silver in the connections, hence the price difference. Long grain silver reduces the noise, so a higher content will theoretically provide a cleaner connection. I'd suggest you check out the Audioquest site for a fuller explanation, since any of these higher end HDMI cables are rather spendy. My advice would be to always consider the overall quality of your system, and decide whether basic cables are what is holding you back. In other words...if you're spending as much on cables, which are the nerves of your system, as you are on the backbone (signal source, speakers/monitor, amp/processor), then you're probably throwing your money away.

Q: QuestionAre these Ultra HDMI Certified? I assumed it was, but the box does not have the silver sticker with scannable code on it, so I'm just wondering why.

Q: QuestionWhy are the 10' AudioQuest HDMI cables not braided? I noticed all the 7.5' and below lengths are braided but the 10' is not.

• A:Answer Hi, the 10ft and longer HDMI cables have PVC jacket that is required to meet the CL3/FT4 ratings for in-wall usage. The cables are otherwise the same and will offer identical performance to the shorter braided cables.

Q: QuestionI would appreciate knowing if 48 Gbps and "48G" (see attached listing) refers to Gigabits/s or Gigabytes/s. Given 8 bits=1 byte, the cables could not carry 48 GB/s. They would top out @6 GB/s. I suspect others have interest in this clarification. Thanks!
