• The arrows on the HDMI plugs should be pointing away from the A/V receiver's output towards the TV's input.

• so if you say that the arrow points towards the tv and away from the receiver . would the other inputs, xbox, blu ray and cable box point towards that device and away where its connected in the receiver. like I have it in the pics.

• If you are listening to your TV through the AV system, then the arrow should go from TV to AV.
