“Has anyone tried this cable with the newer NyFlix programs?? I have read others complain that "economy" audio digital cables do not transmit their sound tracks.”

• This is not something we've heard about. It should not be dependent on the program being played but the component it's being played on. If the component has a TosLink output, there's no reason why a fiber optical (TosLink) cable shouldn't work.

• If you mean Netflix, the answer is yes. My research has also found the same info. about the lower priced cords. Besides you will need a better cord when it's time to upgrade your tv to 4k.
