You can spray it on the screen first, and it will be fine. It’s just not recommended especially if it is on, or is still warm from being on. If it has been off for a while or as long as the screen is cold/room temp, it’s fine.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I sprayed it on my 70 inch TV screen and wiped it off with no problem. It should be fine unless you have an unusual screen. If you spray and wipe off quickly it should be okay.
