Yes exactly. HDMI is digital, meaning it either works or it doesn't. Unless your picture is non existent or very intermittent a more expensive HDMI cable won't change things a bit. Folks, just don't do it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.To wafflebutts answer. All 2.1 HDMI cables transfer at 48 gbs, which is equivalent to 6 gigabytes per second. So no this 10,000 dollar cable doesn’t do anything better then your standard 2.1 HDMI cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This used to be the case...a cable is a cable is a cable... that ended. Now cables are rated to be able to transfer at certain speeds. That's what you're paying for here, a ten foot cable that can handle six full gigabytes per second. You aren't going to see that with a cheaper cable. Most of them aren't $4500 but there are definitely speed tiers for cables. There are speed tiers that cables are certified to be able to transmit, and there are current carrying capacity tiers. You aren't going to get 240 watts of power over USB with your old first gen USB-C cable. The cables and the ports have to be rated and they are actually smart cables that communicate and negotiate between devices to determine what maximum capabilities are.
