• The Max rate from my understanding is 10.2 Gbs and all Audioquest Pearl cables are made to exceed that if necessary according to the product information i read.

• I don't claim to be an expert on HDMI, however, a couple things that I do know: High-speed with Ethernet is the best for any installation. The latest ver. is 1.4a. GBS is gigabits per second. With any tech stuff you buy, read the specs, and gain as much knowledge as possible on what you plan to buy. Buy the best you can afford at that time. And remember... tech stuff is usually replaced by newer and better within six months. Don't beat yourself up when new stuff comes out.
