Yes, it’s very easy to manually lock or unlock this. It actually takes less dexterity than a thumb latch so I think a toddler could easily unlock it. However, you can set it up so that you get a notification on your phone whenever it is manually unlocked.

I doubt a toddler could reach and manipulate the mechanism (although that’s subjective to where your lock is on the door). There’s also a setting to automatically lock the door after x mins, which may help that concern FWIW.
