Yes, it’s very easy to manually lock or unlock this. It actually takes less dexterity than a thumb latch so I think a toddler could easily unlock it. However, you can set it up so that you get a notification on your phone whenever it is manually unlocked.

Yes u can manually lock and unlock. A toddler may be able to unlock door as well as lock it but why.... keep ure eyes on the child to have “ zero” worries. My teens when installed were afraid to touch it. Funny.

It works manually too. I have a 6 year old and a 2 1/2 year old. The older one can open but has trouble. The younger one can not. The device is too large for him. You should walk into a B.B. and see for yourself

Yes, the large cylinder is rotated to manually lock and unlock. I doubt a toddler could reach and manipulate the mechanism (although that’s subjective to where your lock is on the door). 

There’s also a setting to automatically lock the door after x mins, which may help that concern FWIW.

You can do it manually, however you need to grip a large area to get the leverage to do so. I don’t think a toddler could do it.
