“Can the keypad in this combo package sync with ANY August Smartlock? Or only with the one that is prepackaged with this one?”

• Tricky, the keypad will work with other August brand locks only (no "Yale by August" etc). Important !! once the keypad is synced with a smart lock (as it may be out of the box) it must be properly unpaired by entering the the one time reset code the lock generates into the keypad to free it. DO THIS BEFORE REMOVING KEYPAD FROM LOCK OR IT WILL BE FOREVER BRICKED AND THERE IS NOTHING CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN DO TO HELP. don't make that mistake, the keypads alone are $100

• Pretty positive it will sync to any lock. It was packaged in another box separately in the main box as it's own device / accessory.
