“Where are the batteries inserted? Inside of the safe or does the keypad slide out on the side for the batteries without having to have the safe opened?”

• Inside, but it comes with a small battery enclosure that plugs into the outside if your batteries die while it’s locked. Also has keys you can get in with.

• The batteries insert inside the safe behind the door. There is a battery compartment. You can use key to open the safe when battery is dead.
