The BC 30 camera has an IPX7 water rating, which means it is resistant to splashes, rain, snow, or incidental exposure. Physical contact with high-pressure water or fast-moving brushes could potentially damage the camera, however, so to be safe, it is best to avoid taking the camera through a car wash. For information on water ratings, see the following link: http://www.garmin.com/en-US/legal/waterrating -MH
