I am not sure what the problem is but as most people forget Apple offers a 1 year warranty on these products. If it is not charging call Apple and they will replace the pair for you at no cost.

Take them to the apple store. They will send them off and you will get a replacement if they’re still under the one year warranty apple offers.

YouTube may help you. Mine did this once and I think holding down the power button for like 30 or 60 seconds or until the light comes on was the answer.

You would have to go to apple store with receipt so they can replace them for you. There’s no other solution.
