• they are removable yes, but not easily as they somewhat snap in place. This also allows you to change the tips as well, to better suit your ears

• They have removable tips and a total of 3 different tips to choose from. They did not come off by themselves from my testing.

• After a while (several months) the tips stretch and become loose. There are replacement tips available on Amazon and elsewhere. I have had mine for 2 years and have only had to replace once or twice. My husband uses his more often and has had to replace his several times.
