• Apple's description includes the wording, "High-quality call performance" so it seems clear that they would work in your situation as long as your compatible Apple or Android cellphone was within Bluetooth distance. Of course, you could confirm this at any Apple Store before buying.

• Strictly music. buds can change volume only. Cannot turn on/off noise cancellation, transperancy mode, or both off. Nor do they have a command for an assistiant...unless you have voice command on.
