• I *think* but could be wrong that these could be an item that was purchased but not used. Possibly one that a customer purchased and returned. Maybe the box was open preventing the item to be sold as “new”. Refurbished could be that they were checked for function and if any parts were missing and repackaged. I bought a set and they looked new and function fine.

• They are products that have been returned due to an technical issue or cosmetic issue. The technical issues are repaired and resold as a refurbished product. The cosmetic issue is resold with certain grade to the product. The product with more scratches or scoffs will be discounted more.
