“When I answer a call by pressing the button on the ear piece, people are not able to hear me right away. It takes about 3 seconds and then I am able to be heard. Is there a setting or something that will help resolve this? They are 4 months old”

It probably is just connecting to your phone on Bluetooth. Mines transfers from my car, or other Bluetooth devices, to my headset sometimes. Idk if you can change something in your setting
