“Can I use this to connect two 4K (34" and 27") monitors to a new 2021 MacBook Pro? Also, I'm wondering if this needs a charging cable to operate.”

• I use this dock station every day and while it works fine I am not impressed with the display. While it does allow 3 monitors (I have 3, 32' monitors), i could only get 1920x1080 resolution. It does not require a power cable. The power comes from the USB-C connector.

• I am not sure about two 4K monitors however, the dock does require a charging cable to operate. I am using a 100W USB-C charger so the dock uses about 15W and passes the rest through which will charge a connected laptop.
