I also use it to transfer data between my Thinkpad T460P and my Samsung Note 9. It works perfectly. I haven't measured the data transfer speed, but seems like SuperSpeed USB. There are no error messages using WIN 7 Pro x64 and Android 8.1.0. My assumption would be that the cable complies with the USB 3.1 and USB C data protocols and would work for your application.
