• Yes. I just bought the Samsung Galaxy S8+, and got this as an extra cable for it. The original works great, so this should also since it replaces it. The package states that it is compatible with USB-C smartphones. tablets, and ultrabooks. Thunderbolt 3 port compatible. Compatible with USB-A devices: Laptops, chargers. I'm not a techie so can't tell you much more than what the box says.
