• Currently using a Platinum case, Rugged Armor for watch and my wife uses a Speck 24 case for the iPhone X. The charger works great. No issues. The connector can be moved up and down like a volume switch. Hope this helps.

• yes. i use it with a wallet slayer case, but it will work with otterbox commuter. i assume defender as well
