You may have a bad unit. The watch does not show a charging light when it’s attached after a few seconds. The screen stays black until you remove it from the charger.

Is the power connector pushed fully into the socket at the back of the stand? They are slightly tight (to prevent them slipping out) and need to be pushed fully in.
