Hi, Tracy. The adapter is designed to only charge and sync for the Lightning port. We do not guarantee it will work nor do we encourage it to be used with other Lightning accessories.

That's one of those credit card things right? I've never used one but my *Guess* is that it might. I don't know how those communicate with the phone but in theory the headphone port should function the same way. For what it's worth all the features in my headphones still work as expected.
