There was an issue with another of Belkin's covers for the iPad Air where the cover would not wake or sleep the iPad when you open and close it i.e. the cover was not a 'smart' cover. Does the Shield Fit have this function to wake or sleep the iPad Air? If not, then which Belkin covers for the iPad Air have the 'smart' cover function?”

• The Shield Fit does not have a "Smart Cover" feature. Only the QODE keyboard cases (F5L171tt and F5L155tt) are Smart Cover compatible.

• I'm not sure if I will answer your question. But my daughter has not experienced an issue with this case; that doesn't allow the iPad to go to sleep or stay awake.
