• The description on the item clearly states that it is able to transmit a 4K signal. The issue is that because its not an Apple Certified cable, the signal is not stable. The image signal would drop once every 1-2 minutes making content creation impossible. I purchased this for use on an iPad and returned it within a few days because of this issue. Though Apple cables are more expensive, they work--I purchased the proprietary cable and have had ZERO connection issues.

• Hi, JR. This adapter (AVC012) supports up to 8K at 60 Hz (7680 x 4320) and 4K at 144 Hz (4096 x 2160) resolutions.
