• Do any other devices connect to the router? Laptop, phone, other tablets? Id try that first.

• Have you gone into your internet settings for your laptop? I recently connected my laptop to a Belkin router and thought it was a problem until I entered the passcode (security code) and it connected.

• How old is the device, nothing last forever. Got good use out of $70 printer for over 3 years bought from Best Buy. It even outlasted the extended warranty.

• Check to see if Bluetooth on the laptop is turned on. I've had problems with this on one laptop on my network.
