Perhaps you have an answer by now -- I see some of the questions her are weeks old!! If you are using a Verizon device in a USB port on a laptop then no. If you want to use Verizon and not cable, satellite or wire, you need to order High Speed Internet for your Home. You will get a Verizon Wireless Router to which your KINDLE can easily connect.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No it will not. You need an internet service provider and modem to hook the wireless router to. All a wireless router does is turn the internet connection coming into your home into a wireless signal. If you don't want to get internet service Verizon also has wireless hotspot devices that you can purchase that would work and could be taken on the go.
