“My doors will not stay closed when the unit is level so I have it pitched slightly backwards to compensate. What is the best way to fix? Mfg says they can't replace so want me to destroy unit so they can refund. Seems like overkill for a simple issue.”

Ginny, thanks - the hinges work fine the doors just won't stay shut. The right one opens especially easy. Are they supposed to actually grab and stick, and offer resistance when opening?
