No, the waffle grid plates are not removable as stated by the previous reviewer. Only the stainless steel drip catcher below the waffle maker is removable for hand washing or automatic dishwasher.

No it does not. The plates are very easy to clean by wiping them down with a damp dish rag.

No, it does not have a removable plate for cleaning. I have found that as long as I use cooking spray I am good to go with no sticky mess. I simply wipe it down with a sponge and keep it open to air dry.

No it doesn't but very easy to keep clean. Just make sure you spray with oil before you pour your batter.
