It's made in China, and the quality is typical of an imported waffle iron. It falls very far short of a Cuisinart from a decade ago (my last waffle iron, which still works by the way). The unit I picked up lasted 30 minutes before the electronics died. The replacement that I ordered shipped to my house was broken during shipping...
