“I selected Roast function. Sometimes it rotates and sometimes it does not. I tested without anything on the rod and it does rotate. Any trick or suggestions? It wasn’t much heavy at all. I had regular chicken breast (not even full chicken)”

Your problem is probably the weight, although it could also be the size. That is why it rotates fine with nothing on the rod. If the item is too heavy, the motor will not be strong enough to turn. If it is too large, the item will hit the sides, top, or bottom, and the increased resistance will prevent rotation. Try not to exceed the 4 lb. limit, or available size,
