When in standby it was a red power glow button. Same button turns off snd on unit. If unit us heated up it will shut down once cooled down. And i would supervise young cookers as its still pissible to get burned handling food or touching hot surface after done cooking. Unit itself doesnt. But on top it can get too warm as its heating element is on top inside.
