• Check the reservoir for additional items as well as the styrofoam

• The scoop should be in there. It might be brand new, but I suspect it could have been repackaged. You could just buy one, but I know that's not the point. Mine was brand new also, but it was missing the single shot filter basket. I only received one double shot filter.
