QuestionHi do you change the filter baskets between the 1 cup and 2 cup on the portafilter? Mine came with the 2 cup attached and it is not coming off so I can put the 1 cup

- Answer In the espresso filter, you need to rotate the inner basket to bring it to line up with the opening (on outer basket). (Small notch above handle).

- Answer The CAPFEI 51mm portafilters on amazon fit this like a glove! They have bottomless and 2 spout, I purchased both and use them daily. It also allows you get 16-18g of coffee in the basket instead of 14 with the pressurized portafilter it comes with.

- Answer Yes but I recommend upgrading the portafilter to bottomless or 2 spout from CAPFEI on amazon, they are 51mm and can fit more grounds in the basket.

QuestionEvery time I brew espresso, the puck seems almost soupy. With other espresso machines I’ve had in the past, the puck is solid. Am I doing something wrong, or is this expected with this machine? I have tried different amounts of espresso and same result.

- Answer Invest in a heavy metal tamper and fill the filter almost to the top and press down really hard . That helped me a lot. Less water can flow through at a fast pace and you will have a more solid puck..

QuestionThe machine stopped making espresso half way through the process. When I select 2 cups only about half of one cup comes out. I descaled but nothing works. Lasted about a year with 3-4 uses per week. Any suggestions? Thanks

- Answer You may have to reset the shot volume by holding the single and double shot volume at the same time for 3-5 seconds. Or adjust your volume to what you want by holding down the double shot while brewing and letting go when you have the amount of coffee you want.

QuestionHow do I get replacement filters for the portafilter basket? My machine came with one double shot filter instead of both sizes as shown the package and description showed. Which means I can only make double shot espressos.

- Answer I would contact the manufacturer. But save yourself some time and order a 51mm portafilter on amazon, the brand CAPFEI has a bottomless and 2 spout option and both are great. Granted they are both for double shots but you can buy a single basket if you insist.

- Answer The scoop should be in there. It might be brand new, but I suspect it could have been repackaged. You could just buy one, but I know that's not the point. Mine was brand new also, but it was missing the single shot filter basket. I only received one double shot filter.

- Answer Short answer, no, grind your coffee coarser and it'll fix the problem. Long answer, because of the cheap nature, they anticipate most people buying it are working with pre-ground coffee, and the pressurized basket it comes with helps the water stay in contact longer. Downside of this is over extraction and MUCH higher pressures than needed (9bar is perfect for espresso) which lead to still good, but not amazing espresso
