In the espresso filter, you need to rotate the inner basket to bring it to line up with the opening (on outer basket). (Small notch above handle).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.One should turn the 2 cup basket while holding the portafilter upside down. There is position of the notch on the basket in which it will fell down . You will easily notice it and put the 1 cup at the same position. Hope it helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine came with both filers. You need to line up (rotate) the arrow on the filter with the slot on the portafilter which is right by the handle in order to remove the filter.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Due to the technicality and limitations of explaining in text, I can only refer you to the manual. It shows on page 12, figure 5 of the manual. The pictorial instructions are unfortunately not good. (for the showing of swapping filter baskets) You have to rotate the filter basket until the notch is lined up with the front of the handle, then it should naturally separate with minimal effort.
