Q: QuestionWhat does this machine use: pods or capsules!? Also, why does the water reservoir not get cleaned in the sink?

• A:Answer Neither pods or capsules. You put ground espresso in the part with the long stick that the machine comes with and pack down the grounds. Then twist it back onto the machine and the water goes through the ground espresso.
