The pot is glass. It also larger than a standard undercounter- but it is fast as can be in brewing coffee!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can see the confusion but the picture shows it exactly like it’s made. The only areas with a strip of “stainless steel “ is around the bottom of the maker. The front below the plastic water tank and where the controls are. The rest is all plastic except the hot plate. The pot is glass but has an excellent handle and is sturdy. We absolutely love this maker. The coffee comes out so smooth tasting and the reusable filter is a bonus. Hope that helped clarify it
