Never thought about it but my bread maker does not ding. Works fine but would not know when to add anything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine seems to ding whenever it darn well pleases. I get ten dings during the second knead, not three to add things. I ignore the dings for the most part, but yes, it dings at the end 10 times and I'm usually listening for it then. Otherwise, I wouldn't hear it. It's not loud.

I have only used basic bread recipes, so I wouldn't know about adding something. I downloaded a basic bread recipe (using milk and butter) from the internet because I didn't care for the recipe included in the back of the instruction book.
