Q: QuestionWhat does "manual" mean? (manual air fryer) On the 3 qt version it does not say manual.

• A:Answer This cooker has just two knobs to adjust settings. Temperature and time. It doesn't have the digital icons (a 'fish' to cook fish, etc.). The problem is that the icons are a guess at best. How big a fish? But the digital way requires many presses to get to what you think is best. With manual just twist the knobs to what you want and go. Get a book on air frying or more likely try what seems right and watch how it cooks.

• A:Answer Yes. The air fryer utilizes a high air flow where a conventional oven’s air doesn’t move rapidly. Also the food is slightly elevated from the bottom of the air fryer as opposed to sitting on a flat pan in the oven. So the air fryer circulates heated air rapidly around the top, bottom and sides instead of getting heat from one direction (typically the bottom of your oven).

• A:Answer Yes, I believe you can but would probably need an accessory to toast more than one slice of bread at a time. I purchased an Air Fryer accessory set, they’re offered at most major online websites. This accessory set has a rack with slots to hold several pieces of bread upright and apart to allow for even toasting, at least in theory. (I have a toaster, so I haven’t tried this in my Air Fryer.)
